Ron Paul Drops Out — Impeachment? — Politics

Interesting news recently in the fields of Politics.

Ron Paul, the person who I voted for and supported for the Republican Nomination finally dropped out today to begin a new \’Campaign for Liberty\’ that will mostly focus on the same topics as his campaign and books – seeking the liberty and truth that we really should have as Americans but ignore that we don\’t have. It was a good campaign I think, especially when he didn\’t take last in some primaries. It has long been mathematically impossible for him to win, but by staying in he kept showing that some people do care. His large amounts of donations that he had to spend also showed how devoted some people are to the better message of politics.

In case you haven\’t read it online or seen it on CSPAN, Dennis Kucinich recently read articles of impeachment against G.W. Bush. While Pelosi insists the will of the people is not to waste time on impeachment (um, 27% approval ratings are pretty low and demonstrate the will of the people) I think that it is about time for this to be heard. Unfortunately, none of the media channels are picking it up. Having the ability to impeach demonstrates that we are Americans — and while it may not be best for the economy or the fairness of election cycles to have a full blown trial and investigation it would prove that we are still a functional democratic republic to at least continue in the process.

Talking about G.W. Bush and the Fox, CBS, ABC and other key news channels, John Stewart of the daily show pointed out something awful recently: A highly anticipated government report on entering the Iraq War was released saying that the administration obviously created some of their own links between terrorists/nuclear arms and Iraq.Daily Show Iraq Lies Phase II

Other things that I want to mention are the media\’s distractions! The family guy dig\’em statue gay marriage ban was on tonight and it echos with this phase two report barely being mentioned. First, why did we not look into being misled into the Iraq war in the 2004 election? We were too busy debating gay marriage! Gay marriage does not actively kill people or cost 500 billion dollars. Immigration is a distraction, that plays on racism — there are plenty of less productive Americans than migrant workers at least as I see it — not to mention that less than 100 years ago any of the states where immigration is the worst actually used to be part of Mexico!

To talk about the TSA no longer requiring IDs to fly unless you show intent to forget it — what do IDs have to do with security as far as 9/11 went? All of the 9/11 terrorists had legal IDS and presumably went through the same security all people went through in airport security in 2001. Did the security miss the whole box cutter thing, yes, but for the most part this \”security\” was already being enacted. Then there is the whole water bottle thing, TERRORIST organizations haves billions of dollars and connections, could they really not sneak something into a vendor cart if they tried? Not to mention that the TSA is about 70% more likely to find your bottle of water than they are to find an actual bomb (from their internal tests.)

It\’s all about distractions people, you are being manipulated by your lack of critical thinking skills? For what reason, I can\’t tell – but certain things do not add up.
